About me

In my life there were a multitude of smaller and bigger crises and challenges: moving to a foreign country and the accompanying job change and reorientation, the loss of friends, a divorce, the births of my children and inherent questions of roles, up to health problems, peaking in the diagnosis of a deadly illness – which after a long time of hopelessness and despair wonderfully proved to be a misdiagnosis.
In my working life, people and their stories always mattered to me, how they manage to master their lives as individuals and in society. For that reason, after my university studies I first did a training to become a journalist and then worked as a copy editor; through intercultural coaching and language lessons I later wanted to support people more directly, and finally I got qualification to be a Practitioner for Psychotherapy and Systemic Therapist.
For several years now I have been assisting people in the most diverse life situations and accompanying them through their individual challenges to their purpose.
What does your challenge look like? I am happy if I can provide support and help you to bring your life in balance again!

Qualifications and experience

  • Systemic Therapist and Coach
  • Examined Practitioner for Psychotherapy (by public medical officer)
  • Coach for solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT)
  • Certified mindfulness trainer for stress reduction and burn-out prevention
  • Seminar leader in journalist training (i.e. journalism school ifp, Munich)
  • Intercultural Coaching and Language Training (i.e. Goethe-Institut, Northwestern University, Chicago)
  • News editor in Germany and USA (i.e. dpa, ARD-aktuell)
  • University studies in Marburg and Berlin, M.A.

In addition to this, my experience as a course leader for varying topics like stress management and parent trainings around burn-out prevention in everyday life are very valuable to me.

Stress as a research topic has been interesting to me for a long time: In 1998 I wrote about the state of research regarding the origin and the consequences of stress for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). If you like to, you can read it – and have a look at the brave 90s design – here: Stress – The Mystery Factor of Health?

Accompanying my clients and the participants of my seminars fills me with great joy!
